How Syrian prisoners spend their ‘break’ between torture sessions

On the International Day Against Torture, 25 volunteers staged a powerful reconstruction of a ‘break’ in a Syrian regime prison, i.e. the time that prisoners spend waiting to be called up for another torture session. The clip does not show actual torture or other horrors prisoners experience.

More than two million Syrians have been detained. More than 250,000 are still incarcerated. Tens of thousands have died under torture.

EDITOR’S COMMENT:
Let us not forget that mass detention and torture by the Syrian regime are only possible because of the massive military and economic support that the Syrian regime receives from the Iranian regime. So it is not only Bashar al-Assad who is ultimately responsible for these crimes against humanity, but also Iran’s supreme leader Ayatollah Ali Khamenei and his man in Syria and Iraq, Gen. Qassem Soleimani, the head of Sepah Qods, which is a division of Sepah Pasdaran (the Iranian Revolutionay Guards) responsible for foreign operations.

Let us also not forget that arbitrary detention and torture take place on a daily base in Iran too.
