Women’s Day in Syria: Hundreds incarcerated in al-Assad’s jails

Syrian_womenThe Assad regime is holding prisoner at least 730 women and 33 girls under the age of 18 in different parts of Syria. These are the cases known to the Violation Documentation Center in Syria (www.vdc-sy.info). Many more women and girls have disapeared, and it is still not known who abducted them. In addition, the Qaeda linked group Islamic State of Iraq and Sham (ISIS) has kidnapped an unknown number of women.

We from Naame Shaam hope that they will all be free soon. And we are ashamed that Iran’s Sepah Pasdaran and their foot soldiers from Hezbollah Lebanon are supporting the Assad regime.
